چکیده
We estimate the top quark, lightest sparticle (LSP) and scalar higgs masses within a supersymmetric grand unified framework in which tan β ≃ mt/mb and the electroweak symmetry is radiatively broken. The requirement that the calculated b quark mass lie close to its measured value, together with the cosmological constraint ΩLSP ≈ 1, fixes the top quark mass to bemt(mt) ≈ 170±15 GeV . The LSP (of bino purity > ∼ 98%) has mass ∼ 200−350 GeV . In the scalar higgs sector the CP-odd scalar mass mA < ∼ 220 GeV . With mA > ∼ MZ , as suggested by the decay b → sγ, we find MZ < ∼ mh0(mH0) < ∼ 140(220) GeV and 120 GeV < ∼ mH± < ∼ 240 GeV . Supported in part by Department of Energy Grant No. DE-FG02-91ER40626. The agreement of electroweak measurements with theory places limits on the masses of the top quark and the W boson. It is shown how these limits arise and what constraints various measurements (particularly a top quark mass determination) would provide on the theory. The degree to which present and future measurements can constrain the Higgs boson mass is examined.

An extended technicolor model is constructed. Quark and lepton masses, spontaneous CP violation, and precision electroweak measurements are discussed. Dynamical symmetry breaking is analyzed using the concept of the BIG MAC.

We review some approaches to the quark-lepton mass problem. The ideas of mass-protection and approximate chiral flavour symmetries as a framework for resolving the mass hierarchy problem are presented. Dy-namical calculations of the top quark and Higgs particle masses, based on infra-red fixed points and the so-called multiple point principle respectively, are discussed. We also consider mass m...

We analyze higher order decay modes of the lightest top squark˜t 1 in the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM), where the lightest SUSY particle (LSP) is assumed to be the neutralino χ 0 1. For small˜t 1 masses accessible at LEP2 and the Tevatron, we show that the four–body decay mode into the LSP, a bottom quark and two massless fermions, ˜ t 1 → bχ 0 1 f ¯ f ′ , can d...

Results of complete tree level calculation of the single top and light Higgs production in the reaction γe −→ ν b b̄W at the Next Linear Collider are presented. In addition, the contributions of anomalous operators to the Wtb and WWH couplings are included into the complete 4-body consideration. The sensitivity for probing the structure of the couplings in a model independent way is analyzed.
